Blogtober14: If you won the Lottery you'd...

Two awesome Blogger's, The Daily Tay and Helene in Between, have set a challenge for bloggers to join the "Blogtober14" Challenge. In hopes of following this challenge, I will blog everyday in October (or as much as possible) according to the prompts given to us. This challenge is perfect for me. I am just starting out in the blogger-sphere, I have zero followers, and I sometimes grasp for idea's on what to write. So here goes...

Helene in Between Blogtober

If you won the Lottery you'd...

Go crazy, buy everything in sight, buy an island, a personal jet,  hire a personal chef, swim in a pool of money, have an aquarium built in my house, bling bling bling...

NOT!!! In reality...

I would start by getting rid of debt, all debt, my debt, my husbands debt, my parents debt, and my in-laws debt. Going to school for 10+ years and not having a clear path for most of those years, will rack up student loans like you wouldn't believe. Being debt free will allow us to start fresh.

Secondly, I would buy my family a house, we live in an apartment now and that may not cut-it as our family grows. A modest house, something we can manage, something that we can grow in, and I would design it (put my years of Architectural School to good use).

Next, I would put away money for Liam and any future kids that we may have so that they won't struggle financially.

Then, I will pay back my parents and in-law's for all that they have done for us. It may not be a monetary pay off, but we would get them whatever they want...it will be well deserved!!! You get a car, you get a boat, you get a vacation home (in my best Oprah voice).

If possible, I will take a sabbatical from work and be a Stay at Home Mom for a while. I will raise Liam and any other kids that we may have. I would home school, blog, cook amazing food, travel and do crafts.

Second to last, I will plan the ULTIMATE trip around the world!!! Here, there, everywhere, and watch out work we are coming for ya!!!

Lastly, we will SAVE, SAVE, SAVE...Our lives wouldn't change much. We will have room to breathe, less financial worry, but other than that we will still live in the Land of Liam!

  1. All solid plans, even if they're not flashy and crazy! Mine weren't either :)
