A little back story before we proceed...My family hunts, fishes, and we love sports, especially the Florida State Seminoles! So, the theme Hunting, Fishing, & Sports was very fitting.
I inherited most of my creativity from my mom. At an early age she showed me that it is OK to color outside the lines and to live way outside the box. From the moment I told her that I was pregnant she started thinking up ideas for my baby shower. She vowed to try and make everything by hand and just purchase the bare essentials. Everything had a personal touch which made this day even that more special!!!
Like I said before, everything had a special and personal touch to it. She started with the "Hooked on Liam" clothespin which each guest received one as a small party favor. They are super simple to make...check out the directions below:
Make the Mommy-to-Be feel extra special by creating her a keepsake pendant. My mom made a fabric flower pendant using fabric scraps to match the theme of the shower.
As an addition to the tablescape silhouettes of deer, fish, and footballs were cutout and used as decorations. This is a very simple project and adds a fun element to a plain table. Find a digital silhouette that matches your desired theme, print them (8.5 x 11 for small or 11 x 17 for large), cut, place it on a foam core board (color of your choosing), and use an X-acto knife to cut the silhouette.
Lastly, every Baby Shower has games, and every game should come with a prize. Chocolate Chip Cookie Jars made the perfect gifts and to top it off they were made in these adorable Mason Jar Wine Glasses.
Every occasion, big or small, should be an excuse to make something personal. Anyone can go to the store and purchase a pre-assembled party package, but it's the special, and personal touches that can make an event truly heartfelt and uniquely yours!
